Amicable Debt Recovery

This service means we run amicable recovery for you: we review the file, contact the debtor, request payment and negotiate where that makes sense. The articles explain the steps; here we work the file.

01

When it is appropriate

Amicable recovery fits when the claim can be identified (amount, debtor, basis) and an out-of-court track is still worth it: notice, dialogue, instalments. It is not mandatory in the same form for every file and it does not replace court when the file requires that.

It is useful for unpaid invoices and contracts, for relatively recent arrears, or where communication with the debtor still works. If you already have an enforceable title, a different stage applies.

02

What we do after receiving the file

The first step is assessment: what can be substantiated, what is missing, who the debtor is. Then we take over contact — you do not have to repeat the same calls and emails yourself.

01

Review of the documents and the stage of the claim

02

Debtor contact and follow-up of the reply

03

A formal payment demand, when the file justifies it

04

Negotiation and, where realistic, a payment schedule

05

Follow-up until payment, a clear refusal, or a proposal to escalate

03

What you need to provide

The clearer the file, the faster we start. Typically useful: the contract or orders, invoices, delivery or acceptance acts, correspondence and a record of partial payments. If something is missing, we say so at review — we do not need a “perfect” file to start the assessment.

04

When the file should move to legal recovery

If the debtor stays silent, refuses without basis, or an agreed schedule is not kept, the next step may be legal recovery — with your consent. A payment demand, where appropriate, remains an act of the creditor, not a judgment and not an enforcement title.

How long the amicable stage lasts depends on the file and the debtor’s response. We do not present it as a legal deadline and we do not guarantee it.

Do you have a claim to recover?

Send the contract, invoices and correspondence with the debtor. We will review the file and say whether we take on amicable recovery now.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does amicable recovery take?

Duration depends on the age of the claim, the documents and the debtor’s response. It is not a legal deadline and we do not guarantee it. After review we say what is realistic on your file.

What do you actually do after receiving the file?

We review the papers, contact the debtor, follow the reply and, where justified, formally request payment and negotiate a schedule. The articles explain techniques; the service means we run the follow-up.

What if the debtor does not pay amicably?

With your consent, the file can move to legal recovery. There is no automatic interval after which court is mandatory. A demand letter, if one was sent, is not an enforceable title.

Can I recover without going to court?

Yes, many files close through payment or instalments. We do not promise a success rate. If dialogue does not produce payment, we discuss escalation.

What documents are needed?

Typically: contract or orders, invoices, delivery/acceptance acts, correspondence, a payment record. The first step is a review, with no upfront fee on this recovery service.
